Born in Lagos, Nigeria in 1978, Andrew Esiebo is a self-taught freelance photographer chronicling the rapid development of urban Nigeria as well as the country's rich traditional culture and heritage. His work has been exhibited extensively both at home and abroad, at the, Sao Paulo Biennale, Havana Biennale, the Guangzhou Triennial in Beijing and the Chobi Mela V Photo Festival in Bangladesh Noorderlicht Photo Festival, The Netherlands, African Photography Encounter, Mali among many others. He has been selected as the World Press Photo dream team member to for the 2010 project in South Africa and as a member of the Nigerian photography collective Black Box.
