Rotterdam -
Two towers on a 200 square meter play ground. It’s 4 pm, there is not one child playing. In Dutch cities, there are many of these so called Playground Associations. This one was founded in 1948. These play grounds have fences, are open in the daytime and most of the work is done by (Dutch) volunteers. These days it is often hard to keep them open, since volunteer work is not as popular as it used to be and there are not so as many Dutchies living in the neighbourhood. But this play ground still has enough volunteers to keep it running.
