The Hague -
Prins Clausplein. Another great way to reconcile the devastating highway with the vulnerable acitivities in the landscape around it, is this soundwall. The two coloured hedge on the top hosts a clubhouse for scouting and an artist studio. On the slopes there are pathes to walk your dog and bicycle runways. The worrisome thing is that the money for the soundwall is brought in by the sale of private houses to people who must work so hard to survive that they have no time to nurture their own gardens, let alone enjoy this new landscape.
