Asira ash Shamaliya -
An alive old house is perceived as one that has a clean & pointed stone facade. This is photo of a typical abandoned old house that can be found in any Palestinian village. The tree coming out of the stone mostly is an almond tree that grew there because a crow picked an almond from a remote almond tree, and fixed it between two upper course stones to knock off its shell. The 100% natural materials used in constructing these types of houses provide a habitat for the almond tree to grow if protected from the human active hands of uprooting "invasive" plants.
