Nearly every Nigerian man supports at least one international club and hardly any of them support Nigerian teams. Every now and then they argue about whose club is better. Wearing the jersey this way makes a public statement to the supporters of other clubs about his loyalty. However, this AC Milan supporter would not like to make the news page hawking plantain and peanuts. My club, not my face! The Nigerian football administrators’ poor organisation has taken the fun out of the game for the local supporters. Local league games are poorly attended, if at all.
