This car is for sale.

Lagos -  It is the tradition here to place a keg (a small barrel of about 30 gallons) on a vehicle to show that it is for sale. Such a keg would have ‘For Sale’ boldly written on it so that passers-by can see that the owner intends to sell it. But it was interesting to me to notice that it is now so accepted (unofficially) that the containers, like the one in this photo, no longer bear the inscriptions.
