Rotterdam -
A trompe l'oie at the entrance of a strip bar / peepshow.
At first glance I was triggered by the image of a girl with blue nail polish behind a curtain and how the camera (in the surveillance logo) turns away form her. That seemed sort of strange.
Than I zoomed in to the other logos and stickers. Underneath the surveillance logo there’s another logo that I didn’t recognize.
Pimp Free Zone it says.
The stickers are made by an organization called De Rode Draad, a sexworkers trade union.
"Rode Draad and Vakwerk started a sticker and poster campaign against pimps. They are putting up stickers and posters on windows with the phrases “Pimpfree Zone" and “Pimping is forbidden in The Netherlands".
The stickers and posters serve to point out to pimps that it is a criminal offense to blackmail prostitutes and make them dependent on them, says lobby organization De Rode Draad and Vakwerk, the union for sex workers."
