Detroit -
It’s 10 a.m. and Michigan Ave. is almost empty. Michigan Ave. is one of the main streets in Detroit. It was built to accommodate several lanes of traffic going in each direction at the same time, a typical grandeur construction in the city that was home to American automotive industry and was fiercely proud of it. Now, after the city lost over half of its residents, Michigan Ave. is one of the many almost empty, full of potholes Detroit roads. There’s talk of narrowing down the avenue and adding more sidewalk and bike paths to make it more pedestrian and human friendly. Detroit. Marcin Szczepanski
