Rotterdam -  The text on the window puzzled me. Kapsalon (Barbershop) Halal specialist? How on earth can yo combine a kapsalon/barbershop with a snackbar for shoarma, pizzas and other specialities? I knew people do combine amazing businesses here. The owner explained kapsalon is a local delicatesse. french fries covered under a layer of meat, salad and a garlic sauze topping. The dish is a Rotterdam speciality that found its origin in a barber who ordered this dish daily. The boy from the snackbar who had to carry the food to the barber only got a one worded sentence: Kapsalon. That is how the dish got its name.
