Dhaka -
At twelve o’clock school finishes. Last night I had a long talk with an Italian business man in my guesthouse. He is working for a firm that develops chemicals for the leather industry. Education is what Bangladesh needs to fight poverty, is what he thinks. It should happen in one to one relations: if every middle class or rich person is personally at stake for one specific child to be educated then poverty will decrease. The minimum is to teach bright children English, is his advice when children drop out of school. So they can go into business. These girls look like they come from well to do parents and they will talk English already I presume.
