Asira ash Shamaliya -
The grape vine is what caught my attention the most while wandering in my beloved village, Asira Ash Shamaliya. Almost all houses have a grape vine, and it is usually planted at the entrances, roofs, and terraces of houses. People harvest the grapes and collect the vine leaves, stuff them with rice and cook them. Families also like to gather under the grape vine. Asira Ash Shamaliya is historically known for its grape vines and olive trees and the village’s name is derived from the pressing of grapes and olives.
