The program has been mainly be developed on the spot.
1. first week of Wild walks, strolling around together with fellow artists/photojournalists without an agenda (no presupposted idea). Finding details with a story to attach news to. Publish what we found after each stroll.
2. second week of working from the Patterns we found. Like Wild Walks shared photowalks on nearby locations.
3. third week Actions, more freedom in to have the news reveal itself. Preparation of the final presentation.
Four main “Patterns”-Public Spaces, Mobile Life, Hidden Forces and Acronyms, were identified. These were reflected in the photographs taken by the artists.
The Bullion Van (Hidden Forces) by Adolphus Opara was the imposing Cathedral Church of Christ and a small bullion van. The bullion seemed to be confronting the church. Bullion vans move with armed escorts and they are always symbols of intimidation.
Mobile Groundnut Shop (Mobile Life) by Tuoyo Omagba had a girl hawking groundnuts on a large tray on a busy road.
Night Bus to Ajah (Public Spaces)by Folarin Shasanya had the last bus at Ajah park waiting to load passengers. The bus was parked under a tree with loudspeakers hung in its branches. The loudspeakers blare out destinations to potential passengers.
The Last Fisherman (Acronyms) by Godswill Ayemoba had a fisherman sitting alone, somewhat dejectedly, on a grassy plain late into the evening. The acronym employed here was O.Y.O.-On Your Own. The fisherman seemed to be very much on his own.
Other acronyms portrayed with photographs were N.E.P.A.-Never Expect Power Always/P.H.C.N.-Please Hold Candle Near, N.T.A.-National Trekkers Association, and N.Y.S.C.-Now Your Suffering Continues among others.
